I survived the Driving Lesson today!! It actually went a LOT better then I originally anticipated! The instructor was one of the guys from my "prescribed" group of instructors and he was real cool today lol...I found out something today...
My instructor said that my driving is pretty good...I managed not to stall the engine at all even! LoL So I explained to my instructor what happened for my test 3 months back. I explained that when I was turning left after vertical parking, the tester said "You are too near the curb" so I said "I understand" however I did not touch the curb so all was well. However, when I got my report back which stated I had 26 points, it showed I recieved demerits for striking the curb which I never did! And I got points for being slow in moving off after stopped at a traffic light and today my instructor said I was doing perfectly fine in that. I explained all this to him and he checked my PDL (Provisional Drivers License) which showed at the back, the test date which I took and the tester's name. Immediately my instructor said "Wah you got Mr Poh as your tester" and he further explained "Mr.Poh almost NEVER passes any of his testees. He is famous for failing students heh" I then calculated and if I didn't get penalized for striking a curb and being slow in moving off, I would have passed!! >.< Then he said that there are 3 testers by the name of "Mr.Tan" and coincidentally all 3 of them are VERY lenient in their testing. As long as you can drive average and don't make any immediate-failure type of mistakes, they will pass you. I REALLY hope I get a Mr Tan as my tester next Friday lol =P
Anyway, after the lesson I came home to chill...In the evening I went out with mom to visit one of her colleagues who underwent a minor surgery.
To top off the day, I bought mom dinner at Swensens in Orchard and back home we came after the dinner! Baked rice!! The BEST baked rice can only be found in Swensens man! =D
