I decided to reinstall Photoshop CS 2 with imageready again since I have a ton of free space with my external hard drive. I went to find a newbie guide to creating animations and I finally know how to do it!!!!! =D

A sample of something I've put together =D Once again I was inspired by Nicoltt coz she does all those wicked blogskins so I felt like venturing into something new too and I initially gave up trying to do animations before coz photoshop seems soooo complicated!! But this time I did it!! =D <3

Anyway, visited my step-great-grandma today...Mom had a hard time trying to chat with her coz her hearing had gone a little worse so mom had to repeat like 3 or 4 times LOL. On the drive home I said to Mom "we should do that more often eh!" and she was like "o.o whew you gotta be joking!" LOL =P Aunty Karen came over too and we just chilled in the living room, chatted and watched TV all 3 of us!

Another good day passed I'd say! =D

Today, being Chinese New Year, had all shops and I think most restaurants closed so after stopping by Novena Church for my grandma's usual 15minutes "quiet time", we went to mcdonalds for lunch rofl...VERY rare..in fact we wouldn't go to Mac's but its only because its CNY lol xD

Watched TV the rest of the afternoon and in the evening, we had a BBQ downstairs! It was just a little gathering with some neighbours....was pretty fun! I got to do the charcoal and start the fire...hot but fun lol..hot fun xD

Its been a tiring evening though...Came home, and now am having a nice relaxing chat with Nicolette! =D

I was channel surfing earlier on before dinner and I happened to tune into HallMark and they were showing the making of this film "Greyfriar's Bobby Of Edinburgh" about a policeman and his dog, Bobby, in Edinburgh,Scotland. After the policeman died, Bobby, his scottish terrior partner, stayed by his grave everyday for 5 over years, only leaving to have lunch but was otherwise lying right next to his owner's grave. The residents of Edinburgh were so touched that they erected a statue of Bobby in his honour. To read the full story click here.

The moment I read the story, I felt so touched. It really is a show of how animals can be so very compassionate and loyal and loving. They may not be able to speak like us, but they are more then capable of feeling emotions just as we do!!

Today's been a pretty lazy day actually. Watched TV with Mom and played with Roxy as well =D

After dinner, came online and am now having a fun (as always!) chat with mah sis! <33>=D Hehehe...

I woke up to a call from Mom this afternoon. Instead of just a dinner, she wanted to bring two ladies from UK around Singapore for a bit, and bring them shopping before dinner. I headed down to Mom's office at about 4pm and from then till 11pm, I was the day's Chauffer (however you spell it lol) I first drove them down to Bukit Timah Plaza where Mom had to help a colleague with some maid issues at the agency. In the meantime, I brought the 2 ladies around some of the shops and they bought a bunch of CNY goodies...good selection too!! No pineapple tarts though unfortunately heh. After we departed from the mall, we headed down to Mount Faber to show them the view of the sea (Sorta) and a "bird's eye" view of Singapore, or at least whatever you can see from the top of that point LoL. Grabbed some drinks at the little open-air restaurant there which mind you, has killer prices. A simple glass of Coke or Sprite costs you $5 flat. The view probably makes the retaurant's rent sky high I suppose lol.

After chilling out there for a bit, we made our way over to this little chinese restaurant near our house called "ManHill Restaurant". Its an old fashioned restaurant that was built there since my Mom was a little girl so you can imagine just how OLD it must be LOL...The food there is simply superb!! We had sliced fish with ginger, Sweet&Sour pork, Paper Chicken (Chicken wrapped in grease-proof paper and cooked), and a claypot thingy...It was awesome!! Of course we had beers to wash it all down! xD

Our last destination was HarbourFront where the ladies wanted to check out Mp3 players and Laptops....I got my external hard drive at the same time..FINALLY!! xD They also had a look at a jewellery shop to get gifts for their Mom's back in the UK =D

*Psst* Mom took the opportunity to buy Bakwa from a nearby shop just one level down. Mom said she was trying to exercise her Mandarin (Which is as good as mine and you KNOW how "good" my chinese is) and between her and the girl at the counter, they managed to make a successful transaction. Apparently, the girl was extra nice and instead of .5KG of Bakwa, Mom ended up buying 1Kg Lmao and the girl even gave Mom some extra paper in case she wanted to seperate them or anything xD I guess if you are nice to people, they'll always try to give you a little extra service. Kindness brings kindness! =D

After allllllll that, we drove them back to their hotel (Fullerton Hotel) so damn expensive LoL...The office really knows how to treat their employees! Best of the best! xD

Well another cool day!! Came home, got online and my wonderful sis msged me!! xD There is no better way to end the day then a nice relaxing fun chat with my sis! <33 xD

I've finally come to the conclusion that I, Kieran, am a true-blue Mortal Kombat fan!! I just love the movies!! The fighting is soooo awesome! xD

There will be a new movie coming out hopefully by end of this year : Mortal Kombat 3 !!
They have just begun filming this month so it'll take a while to produce but its gonna rock man!!! Kick ass!! xD I went to visit www.mortalkombat.com and check out the production stills, as you can see above. These are just 2 of the many cool and some humourous, shots taken during the production! =D

Supposed to have had the dinner thing tonight but it got postponed to tomorrow so I'm kinda looking forward to that...VERY good chinese food we're gonna have! We'll be eating at this place called Manhill Restaurant. Its a very old restaurant, nothing fancy at all, but its got the best sliced fish w/ ginger ever!! =P The sweet&sour pork is dang nice too!!! *drools*

No not India.... Indie music! =D To me, personally, Indie music is a tricky genre of music to appreciate that takes time to enjoy. Tyrone, one of my guy pals, is crazy about Indie and it was because of his interest, that I wanted to explore it and see what I would find. I'm not the world's biggest Indie fan I'll admit...but I have actually enjoyed some Indie-style songs! I was introduced to a band called MEW and so far, my favourite song from them is "The Zookeeper's Boy".

2 things that I find oddly interesting about Indie music.

1) The lyrics aren't straight forward. Sometimes they can be but most times you have to read "between the lines".
2) The style of music itself is unique.

Chinese New Year is just around the corner!! Man its almost February!! Time doesn't seem to slow down at all.....Oh well....

So glad to know that Nicolette is alright! =D Somehow I feel like listening to a song..but I just can't put my finger on THE song that I want to hear....LoL...like a craving you just can't satisfy xD

The All New "Windows Live Messenger BETA" a.k.a MSN 8.0 =D Nicolette and I triumphed in our non-stop clicking action to battle with GOD knows how many other thousands of people all over the world to quickly grab up the invitations some generous souls place on a website!! It was madness!! At first we found an invite not taken, 2 seconds later it was taken!! It was really heart-pumping!! Got our adrenaline going man!! We succeeded and here is a screenie of it! All new design and some new functions which we've yet to test =D

I found out Crystal likes to eat the white coconut CNY biscuit! I'm not sure of what its called though. Kuey Bang Kit or something..not sure how to spell it either lol =P But surprisingly Crystal kinda liked it. I held out a piece in front of her, she sniffed it then licked it a couple times and nibbled! =P

I'm not a big fan of techno...but I do enjoy this mix that DJ Tiesto did...Introduced by my ex-classmate, Jack. Great stuff xD

Anywayz...Just chilling now....Messing about online lol...looking for interesting sites and stuff...Chatting with Nicolette who JUST came on =P hehe Now I have great company!! xD

I'm gonna try taking some nice pictures of Crystal and Roxy! Tried today but I either got Crystal's butt or Roxy's back coz they both are pretty Camera-shy I think LoL =P Will try again tomorrow!!

Trying my hand in alteration...I'm soooo newb in it but its kinda fun..challenging...and definitely eye-straining *rubs eyes* LoL =P

Hey NICOLTT!! xD My awesome sis!! We chat at say 1am and before you know it, its already 5am!! =P

I realised one problem with taking pictures of felines, is that the flash of the camera reflects in their eyes...so I gotta take pics in the daytime and turn off the flash LoL But I did get some nice shots before! =)

Oh yea, Mom's going for her "Defensive Driving" course tomorrow...good luck to the instructor! xD Mom has like....over 20 years driving experiance...its so weird to see her going for a driving course lol

New plastic $2 notes are out but they've run out already!! Everyone rushed out to get em today!! The notes are pretty cool xD Plastic! LoL..

Had a bright early start at 9am (quite a feat for me xD )! Brought the car down to the servicing centre with Mom and then walked to Ikea to have Brunch (SWEEDISH MEATBALLS WOOO!!) and checked out the stuff there! The moment I entered Ikea, I suddenly thought of Nicolette LoL...And then when I ordered the meatballs, I thought of her again!!! Coz I know she loves the food too!! xD Its awesome stuff and at pretty good prices too!! =D After that, met up with Mom's best friend and followed them while they did CNY shopping..buying goodies and stuff lol....

Mom checked out this OTO massage chair at Chinatown but she is still unsure of whether she should get it lol...Be interesting to have a massage chair at home I guess...imagine if either of the cats got onto the chair and had a massage themselves =O Might help them sleep easier LoL xD

Oh well, tomorrow I'm gonna wake up nice and late hehe =P Been a great day!! OH YEAH!! American Idol on channel 18 (Starworld) had not 2 not 3 but 6 episodes running tonight!! Even channel 5 had one episode running but channel 18 had 6!! LOL Not sure if all were the same but I kinda think so...Gotta ask around tomorrow xD

Does anyone here enjoy New Age music? I guess for some people, it can be a pretty tough genre of music to appreciate. I, for one, love New Age music! At the right time of course!!

Actually, I found this song on this game called "Muay Thai"...Its some fighting game I was just meddling with for fun and they played this one song in the background that really appealed to me. It seems New Age-ish so it just came to mind! =D

Did the usual Sunday lunch with Mom and Grandma...I polished the car today too! I felt a little sore in my body after that LOL but I must say, I did a spanking good job! When you run your hands along the car, you can feel the smoothness! =D

Had Godparents and some of Mom's friends over for dinner so that was really nice! We had Beef Curry which mom cooked and the gang bough fish head curry!! Nicoltt, it was REALLY spicy!! Damn nice!! =P Everyone's mouth was burning heehee =P spicy = good!! Wooo!!!! =D !!

If you noticed, (and I'm sure you will!) my blog has a fresh look! The best part is, I did the skin up myself!! =D !! I had to take a premade blogskin off of www.blogskins.com and study the codings for a while and I did some trial and error on it to understand the codes. I did mess up on it now and then so I had to start from scratch lol. I found this awesome picture which you now see as the background, I edited it a little, in paint and used it for this skin! Its not the best looking blogskin but its a start! I might work on some others too!! Just for the fun of it! xD

CNY is around the corner! Gotta put up some CNY decorations around the house! We don't exactly celebrate the occasion, but we do go visiting and stuff. Its always nice to go surprise someone with a visit, especially after a prolonged period! =D

Happy Friday 13th everyone!!! =D

I was curious about what it all REALLY meant so I did a little research on the net. I visited Wikipedia.org and found a description on it. Here's what the website says about the origins of Friday the 13th:

The origin of the Friday the 13th superstition has been linked to the belief that there were 13 people at The Last Supper of Jesus, who was crucified on Good Friday, but it probably originated in medieval times. It has also been linked to the fact that a lunisolar calendar must have 13 months in some years, while the solar Gregorian calendar and lunar Islamic calendar always have 12 months in a year. Another suggestion is that the belief originated in a Norse myth about twelve gods having a feast in Valhalla. The mischievous Loki gate-crashed the party as an uninvited 13th guest and arranged for Hod, the blind god of darkness, to throw a branch of mistletoe at Balder, the god of joy and gladness. Balder was killed instantly and the Earth was plunged into darkness and mourning as a result.

I guess there are many different interpretations and meanings behind "Friday the 13th". In today's world, I think there still are some hotels or motels that actually close up the 13th floor and prohibit people from staying there. There are even some people in this world who, when visiting hotels, insist on stay on any floor EXCEPT the 13th floor for fear of bad luck or misfortune. LoL Its interesting to see how different people feel towards superstitions and how the react towards it. It is also said that if you are BORN on Friday the 13th then this day, instictively, is your GOOD LUCK day, instead of being a day of misfortune LoL. How cool is that! xD Anyone reading this born on Friday the 13th? =P

What is it about inspiration that makes us want to do something? What inspires you? Personally I think a lot of things inspire me...certain songs...friends...events that happen...even scenery..like standing on a sandy beach and looking out as far as the eye can see to the horizon...

Nicoltt has inspired me recently! A lot! Inspired me to working on my blogskin for one...I'm considering a fresh new look, perhaps a whole new design, thanks to my sis! xD She's also inspired me to writing some new material on my guitar! See, people around us can be such inspirations! Its awesome! =)

Gotta thank Nicoltt for inspiring me so! This entry is dedicated to you sis!! xD <3

I tried to play the A1 song "When I'm Missing You". I'm trying to learn it and I must say...so far so good!! xD Its tricky to do the first verse however. Its just picking and to do that AND sing at the same time is challenging. I plan to conquer it though so I'll try recording once I get in enough practice!! =D

Very cold but relaxing and definitely sleepy day! LoL...Watching the American music awards and R.Kelly performed this song that he wrote for the Hurricane Katrina affected people. Its a song called "Let Your Light Shine". Its a beautiful song! If I can find it, I'm gonna put it up on this blog for everyone to listen =D

Its been pouring rain since morning and its 4:30 now...Its really cool though! Keeps the day real nice and cool...It felt like 6pm when it was 2pm though so that was a little weird lol It was kinda dark xD

There is something about rain....about watching the rain fall...I think you all know what I am =) It gives you that feeling...can't describe it but I can feel it... =D

Enjoy the wet spell because when march comes its gonna be like a toaster oven =x

Today's been a long day...I got up at 8am (A miracle by my standards xD ) and gave mom a lift to the salon nearby and then went out 3hours later to pick her up and we headed to harbourfront to settle some of her bills at the bank on level 2 I think. Did some shopping at Bukit Merah too...
We brought Roxy to the Vet for her yearly booster injection and she really handled the whole thing well! She was of course scared but she just sat quietly and handling the injection and pill-popping smoothly! =) Apart from an injection, Roxy also had to take a de-worming pill to clear out her system if there were any infections of the sort. She's clean though so it was more of a precautionary measure...Tomorrow we gotta bring Crystal and that is gonna be tough =x Well, hopefully Crystal will not struggle too much or its gonna be quite a challenge lol =)

Today's weather has been awesome! Really cooling...I fed Crystal and Roxy their dinners...fed the fish...Basically did whatever I have to do =) I gotta start waking up earlier lol...Am gonna try to change my sleeping and rising hours...hopefully! xD Might blog later tonight again...ciao!~

Ever since 2006 started, I keep having this nudge deep down in me..like a little voice..thats telling me "Kieran you're 20 now...start acting like it"...I feel that I should start being more responsible..by doing my part in the house...helping out more...especially for Mom since she goes to work so I look after the home. And I keep thinking about what Mom said the other day to me. "When the new maid comes, show her that you're the man of the house...show her that you are fully capable of doing everything on your own...that you are...the MAN of the house!" Its time for me to step up as I exit teenhood and emerge into manhood...

My resolutions for 2006:

- Work really hard in anything I set my mind to.
- Be responsible in my actions especially for my family.

I still cannot believe I'm leaving the 1_ age and now entering the 20+ age...This has to be life-changing for me. I really feel renewed. =)

Been chilling at the com all night....Had the cool funkae company of Nicoltt and sorta "watched" her battle the forum! xD Wasn't exactly "live" but the board is spanking clean now! Not a grain of dust anywhere! *100 thumps up!!* She did one helluva awesome job if I do say so myself! xD

I've got this 80s music internet radio station playing in the background...Good stuff man!! The 80s music are classics!! Unforgettables as some call em!! xD Lookin forward to tomorrow!! A very hot...then VERY wet day LoL xD I've never driven in such heavy rain..It was almost impossible to see straight ahead and my windscreen wipers were flying left and right like mad...Woooo....But it was cool...Went with Mom to Grandma's house to drop off some furniture and some cutlery stuff...We got kinda wet but it was a job well done nonetheless! =) Now I'm nice and dry, chilling here in front of the com...Tomorrow ought to be an awesome day too! 3:45 Mom and I are gonna watch that movie "Homeward Bound" or something...saw the TV ad today...The animalsare REALLY cute lol xD

A great day it has been....I think mentally I haven't quite accepted the fact that it is already 2006...It'll prolly fully register into my brain in the morning =) Gotta sleep soon though...gonna have a looooong day ahead....there will be this show on Monday I think called "Homeward Bound" about a group of animals. Mom was like "We must watch it! Monday 3:45!" lol Very rare that my mom can memorise a TV show timing let along the title so accurately =P Hehe...Its gonna be great!
